Although September is, for many, the start of slow stagger to the darker months of the year, many religions have taken this time as one of new beginnings and the opportunity to renew ourselves and prepare for the future. Our Service this month falls at the time of the Jewish festival of Sukkot and a day after the Autumn Equinox – we will take the opportunity to reflect on how we might learn from faith traditions and from nature on the need for hope, for community and for love, tenderness and compassion.
