For some people, this time of month signals ‘Thanksgiving’, whereas other cultures of the northern hemisphere have different harvest festivals, at different times of the fall season. Yet all such festivals are universal experiences: of sharing food; of coming together with family, friends and fellow-travelers; of recognizing the gifts of life that are often unearned but are deeply appreciated.

Please join our UUFP November gathering to reflect, to expand our circle of community, and to celebrate and give thanks together.

This service will be led by members of our UUFP community and has been developed by Laura StahnkeJames DenisonBettina Lande, and Karen Kyker.

To enrich the communal nature of our November service, please bring an object to the service that – for you – says “gratitude” or “thanksgiving”. These objects will help decorate and will also provide a focus for our ‘Story for All Ages’.  Note, especially for children: of course you will take your object back home with you after the service!

We meet for worship at La Maison Verte at 127-129 rue Marcadet, 75018.
Music for gathering starts at 10:20 am and the service starts at 10:30 am.

Reminder: UUFP is phasing out plastic cups at coffee hour after the service. We encourage everyone to bring re-useable mugs or cups to Sunday services.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

This year’s Religious exploration curriculum is called “Building Bridges”. We will explore different religions around the world. Building Bridges is a world religions program to deepen youth’s understanding of the dynamic, fascinating, and varied world in which they live. It seeks to broaden their knowledge of humanity and embolden their spiritual search.

A babysitter will be available for children who don’t want to stay in the service or participate in the lesson.

Katherine Blondel is the coordinator of Children’s RE. You can reach her at katherine.blondel@orange.fr with questions.
