Sermon: The Meaning of Homes
At this service devoted to social justice we will be celebrating the work of the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC), the social justice arm of our faith.
Rather than having an international office, UUSC collaborates with grassroots partners all over the world.  During the service we will hear from some of these partners and we will be introduced to this year’s special “Guests” who will tell us what home means to them.

This will be our launch of the 2020-2021 Guest At Your Table drive.  The basic idea is that you keep a special box on your dinner table throughout the holiday season, where each day you can put the money corresponding to the price of the meal for a guest. We will start collecting your contributions after the holidays.

It is a congregation-wide collection and UUFP is always very generous!  If your family collects the equivalent of $125 (about 105 euros) it will be matched by the UU Church in Shelter Rock, NY.

Usually at our November service we hand out colorful boxes for your family to use.  This year, you can be creative!  You can choose any box you happen to have at home and decorate it, or use this template to create a GAYT box:
