Sermon: Overcoming Evil
The Rev. Daniel Costley, minister to the Dover, Sevenoaks and Tenterden congregations  in the UK, has agreed to lead a full service for us via Zoom. The Service falls at a time of intense reflection and celebration in the Hindu world on the battles of good and evil.  At a time when the world faces many challenges and uncertainties on the good and the not so good – and perhaps the evil too, The Service will provide readings, reflection stillness and music on this theme.

MEET OUR MINISTER
Rev. Daniel Costley

The Reverend Daniel Costley is a British Unitarian Minister. Daniel studied for ministry at Harris Manchester College, Oxford and was called to his first congregation in 2010. He is now Minister to three congregations in Kent (at Dover, Sevenoaks and Tenterden).  Daniel has worked in a number of roles within the British Unitarian and Free Christian movement, including Chair of the Ministry Strategy Group and a member of the ministry Interview Panel. He still works closely with Harris Manchester College and has been involved in the review of ministry training in Britain. Daniel is also President of the Unitarian Historical Society. He lives in Sevenoaks with his family and dog, and is a keen photographer. The COVID lockdown in the UK has led to Daniel’s development of online, YouTube services, and he’s now looking at how this will form part of the future of ministry.  A true francophile, Daniel enjoys visiting Paris and looks forward to a time of ‘new normality’ when travel might be safer.
