ALERT: VOTING FROM ABROAD FOR U.S. CITIZENS

If you happen to be a United States citizen as well as being a member or friend of EUU, we hope you know how easy it is for everyone to vote from abroad.

Many of you have already voted in your state’s presidential primary (or have requested your ballot if it is scheduled for later), or else you may have just voted in the Global ¨Presidential Primary organized by Democrats Abroad which will choose the delegates to represent Americans living abroad at the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee in July.

The next step is voting in the general election in November. Did you know how easy it is to request an absentee ballot? (if you have not already done so, you should do so now for the November election!) Your adult children and adult grandchildren can vote in most states, even if they have never lived there.

There are several excellent websites that can answer your questions and that will take you step by step through the process in order to register and request your ballot.  Both of the sites below are non-partisan: the first is set up by a charity and the second is set up by Democrats Abroad for the convenience of all.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me now (dmeparis@gmail.com).  I will be coming to the Prague retreat with voting materials and will be happy to assist you there.
