Webinar on November 25: End Violence against Women

Orange the World

By Beth O’Connell

On the afternoon of November 25, the International Convocation of UU Women (IWC) is hosting a webinar addressing gender-based violence in collaboration with Seng Kynthei, the Women’s Wing of the Unitarian Union of North East India. This ties into the United Nations marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25. Orange is a hopeful color, symbolic of a brighter future, so wear orange that day and spread the word on your social media. November 25 is also the start of 16 days of activism against gender-based violence, ending on Human Rights Day. Violence against women is often called the shadow pandemic, which has been exacerbated by the Covid-19 crisis.
