All of our European Unitarian Universalist governance decisions are made at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) each November, and every member and friend of EUU is invited and encouraged to attend – let your voice be heard and speak up for a strong future for our community!

The meeting will take place on Zoom, Sunday, Nov. 17th, 14:00 – 16:30 European Central Time. Fellowship and check-ins begin at 14:00, and the business meeting begins at 14:30.

• Request a zoom link for the AGM (as early as now!) by sending a request to agm@europeanuu.org by Thursday, November 14 at the latest.

At the AGM, we enjoy seeing many familiar faces, and we also discuss and vote on our annual budget for the coming year, and a slate of officers who will begin their terms in January 2025. These votes require a simple majority.

This year we will also be amending our EUU Bylaws by adding explicit mention of our Social Action Committee (SAC) and a change in wording about how any committee chairs are appointed. These amendments will bring our official records up-to-date, to reflect the longstanding existence of the SAC. These changes require a two-thirds majority vote.

The SAC has long done the wonderful and very important work of vetting and choosing causes that are in keeping with our UU values, which we want to support through financial giving. This committee decides how to distribute the budgeted “Social Action” line item of our annual EUU budget.

The annual general meeting will be run by our president, Karen Kyker, with time-keeping by our vice-president, Emily Searle-White, budget presentation by our treasurer, Jutta Hamm-Ulmann, and notes taken by our secretary, Bonnie Friedmann.

If people wish to continue discussions on themes that arise during the meeting that cannot be fully aired to the satisfaction of all, we can use a polling tool to suggest some dates for specific Town Hall meetings to be set in the coming months.

Please do contact us ahead of time if you wish to have an item on the agenda. The agenda and the minutes from last year will be sent out to everyone in early November.
