Consider leading a workshop at the fall retreat

During EUU retreats, workshops have been our special time together in smaller groups. They seek to give us an opportunity to focus on what matters to us as persons, to help us not only to grow spiritually, but also emotionally, psychologically, physically, and intellectually – thus providing a deeper foundation for courageous and meaningful living. They can also give us a chance to explore further the retreat theme, as well as to review aspects of our own UU community.

Our EUU community is blessed with leaders and talent to lead workshops. So, this is our invitation to participants – attending both in person and online – not to hesitate to volunteer, if you might wish to lead a workshop.

When you register for the retreat, please give a title and short description of your workshop proposal in the workshop space of the form. (If you’ve already registered and have a good retreat idea, it’s not too late – please send it in!) We will let you know as soon as possible if your workshop can be scheduled, so that you can have time to prepare it.

Finally, we encourage anyone interested to consider leading a workshop on ‘’Albert Schweitzer and his Engagement for World Peace and Nuclear Disarmament,‘’ as it would be directly relevant to our theme, Cultivating Peace. Moreover, this is a timely topic: 2022 is the 70th anniversary of Schweitzer’s Nobel Peace Prize. Albert Schweitzer was also considered a Unitarian by many, and we are holding the retreat in the middle of Albert Schweitzer’s homeland, Alsace.

If you have questions about workshops, please contact John Eichrodt via the Retreat Committee email: retreatcommittee@europeanuu.org.
