Dear Jodi,

I want to say a big THANK YOU again for your support on the Unitarian Women ministers retreat. Please forward this short report to all those involved.

The Hungarian Unitarian Women ministers had their 18th annual retreat this October. It was the biggest attendance ever and a beautiful two days! The tradition is that each year we visit one of our colleagues and get a sense of their congregational life. This year we went to Gyergyószentmiklós, which is a small town in the Székely land. The topic for this year’s retreat was “Our roles – living them, not surviving”. We had great discussions on all the different aspects of women ministers’ lives. It is always good to hear and learn from each other. Also it is healing to talk about the difficulties we confront separately and together.

The second day we had a short spa-time for letting go all that needs to go. Then on early Saturday evening, most of the colleagues went home, as they had service the next morning. Five of us could stay for Sunday, so we had a great alternative Sunday service at the congregation. It was a special time together.

In the name of all the participants, I want to express my deep gratitude for your contribution to this successful event. I believe that we all grow when we share experiences, time and love together.

I hope to see you all in person sometime.

Blessings,

Emese Bodor
